On Wednesday April 24^th , BUEM will visit extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania to Slovak Republic H.E. Domnul Călin FABIAN. Besides meeting with the university management board, he will meet with students and give lecture „How 20 years in EU and NATO changed our lifes“. Lecture starts at 12:30 in room F1.

Memorial service in honor of our colleague and friend Mgr. Jozef Kirchmayer, PhD. will take place on April 16, 2024, at 1:15 pm at the Bratislava Crematorium.

With profound grief, we notify the broader academic community, colleagues, students, partners, and friends of the Bratislava University of Economics and Management that on April 10, 2024, Mgr. Jozef Kirchmayer, PhD., Vice-Rector for Education and Lifelong Learning, passed away at the age of 51. His profound influence has left an enduring legacy within our institution.

On April 9, 2024, at the occasion of 20. anniversary of the founding of the university, BUEM hosted Solemn meeting of the Scientific council of BUEM. During the meeting, rector of Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics (KHNUE), prof. Volodymyr Ponomarenko, DrSc. was awarded with the title of Honorary Doctor of the Bratislava University of Economics and Management. Title of Honorary Doctor of Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics was awarded to rector of BUEM, assoc. prof. Ing. Ľuboš Cibák, PhD. MBA.

On March 28th, the Bratislava University of Economics and Management had the honor of hosting a Chinese delegation from Ningbo University of Technology, in the advancement of international relations between Slovakia and China. This visit signifies a major step in fostering educational and cultural links, promising new opportunities for both institutions.
